Should students be penalized for not attending class?

As a college student, my opinion on attendence policies is if you dont attend class your only penalty should be missing the lectures and not knowing the information for tests. The current attendance policies limit students to very little amount of missed classes and restrict our needed ability to sleep. As long as one does their hw and listens in class they should not have to attend as many classes.

  1. No! There are some people who can miss classes and get an A in the class, until they take away attendance points. People shouldnt be penalized for being smarter than the average bear.

  2. I think that if a student does all their work and listens well in class that they should not be penalized for not attending classes.I think we should be allowed to miss classes if we keep up with our work.

  3. Colleges are way to strict on attendance polices!!! The exspect students to never miss and class and if you do they want a written note from a doctor. It's so ridiculous! If a student is doing work and passing all tests and quizzes they should not be penzlized for not going to class.

  4. If a person feels as though they can somehow pass a class without going then so be it theyre paying for their education in one way or another so if not going to class works for some individuals then those shouldnt have to go

  5. I believe that students shouldn't be penalized for missing classes. They are all ready penalized by missing the information by not going to class. As adults we should not be treated as children. We know already that the information we miss will be need and we should go to class, so let the leason be learned by missing class, but don't punnish us ontop of it too.
